Novation Launchpad screws with my Midi Clock / Midi Sync

Hi folks,
I recently bought a Novation Launchpad and have connected it to my laptop PC through USB. I'm running Ableton Live 8.2.1 and I use several audio clips for a liveact.
I have connected an Electribe which receives Midi Clock through my Soundcard (saffire).
So far this was always working nice and smoothly and the Electribe was always in tempo sync.
When I start or stop clips with the Launchpad all is still fine, but when I press the up/down or left/right buttons on the launchpad the Electribe starts to get out of sync.
I tried to get rid of this by playing around in the Midi settings of Ableton but I found no way to stop this.
Obviously this is nothing I want to experience in a live situation.
