insert and capture scene bug

Or is it a feature request? I'm not sure actually.

When i trigger different clips (over 100 clips spread over 8 tracks)
And use the "insert and capture scene" option, it places it somewhere in the area of a clip i triggerd. With a scene number that indicates that it should be at the bottom.
Could captured scene's automaticly be placed at the bottom of the scene slots?

cheers

Actually, the new beta seems to do just that. Even when you have 40 empty scenes down a page, forcing you to scroll all the way down, then drag the captured scene all the way back up to where you want it to be, then it stops playing!

Is this a bug?

Having said that, I can't repeat it again.

Hmmm, that was odd. Definately some kind of bug, I'll have to try and re-create it.

It always places the captured scene directly below the last selected scene. So all you have to do is select (without firing) the scene above the position you want the captured one to go.

It's not a bad way to work really, you always have control over where your captured scene will go, you just have to remember to choose where you want it first, if you don't you can't move it without stopping the music.

I only just realised this, I'm not used to working with scenes in this way, I always thought you could drag scenes to new positions while the music was playing (like channels) but you can't. At least not in 4.0.4 either. I just tried it with a Simpler playing and got a really weird stuck note that didn't go away even when turning off the simpler.

One for the wishlist maybe.

Hi Martyn,

This stucked midi note issue when moving or deleting playing scenes should be solved within the beta. (Bugfix: [03] Bug: Hanging notes when deleting scene).

You are right. Currently it always stops the scene.

Alex

Yeah, I added that as more a BTW than anything, I was checking 4.04 at the time to see if you could drag playing scenes (couldn't remember), You're right, it's fixed in the beta. Sorry, I rarely use scenes in this way and was surprised that you can't drag them into different orders without stopping the music like you can with channels, it had me thinking it was a bug for a while.

Cheers
