Background: Made new live set - 1) one audio track for loops 2) one audio track for resampling 3) one midi track w/ Sam Chip 32 w/ Korg MS-20FX audio units 4) one midi track with Simpler, Vintage Warmer 5) midi track with Microtonic 6) Sampletank 2 Free and KingDubby delay. Return A with a reverb, Return B with Ping Pong delay and resonators. Vintage warmer on the master.

Closed Live. When I relaunched, Live crashed on opening the live set.

Live continues to crash after rebooting the machine as well.

I'm hoping to find a way to salvage this set as I was really feeling the session. It was a streamlined set, not much CPU...kind of bummed...

Platform: iMac 1.8, 10.3.7, Live 4.04

Ableton, we may have a chance to repair it. And it may also help us finding out what went wrong... mail it to me: [email protected]

I had this happen a few weeks ago, and the problem was related to a plugin that stopped working for some reason, AU303. I narrowed which plugin was causing the problem by removing all the plugins from the plugin directory and replacing them until the set opened.

Also try opening it with 4.01. That was before the processor affinity change. Make a small change in the song, then save. That trick works every time for me.

additional to what Robert wrote, please mail us (or better directly me) the crash log from Live.
Other good thing would be to try if that happens too with the latest beta 4.0.5b3: http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15384

Trying to open the GUI editor in Sampletank LE (AU) crashes Live 4.1 and 4.0.4 every time, the vst doesn't. Anyone else experiencing similar w/ ST? to Steve-O, I'd recommend grabbing/installing the Sampletank vst and see if that fixes your problem.

I have a similiar issue to steve-o and will send file. In regards to muthafunka I have that issue too only reversed, I can't use ST XL in vst only in au
