Slow startup 8.2.1

Hi there,
My 8.2.1 Suite takes more than a minute to start. It sits in "Initializing the application" longer than usual.
Is there a way to find out what it's doing?
Thanks.

Have you been quitting before it's able to start? When you first open a new download of Live, it will need to install some new things.

No, I don't remember ever killing a running/starting Live instance.
This is hard to trace as sometimes I get a fast startup but most of the times it takes 2 minutes or more.

Is this when opening up a new blank set? Or do you have a custom template set?

I didn't customize much in the app. It's still using the default initial live set

That's it, except I have MPK49. Not sure how to fix it permanently but when it's not plugged in, the startup is quick. Guess I'll just unplug/plug each time.
Thanks.

YES! For me too — Live always takes 5-10 minutes to start. This is on a four-month-old Macbook Pro. Live worked great from September until last week, and now it's unbelievably slow to start. Nothing fancy in the default set, nothing changed about the audio gear. Ideas?
[EDIT: ha, just saw that this thread is a year old. well, i'm definitely having this problem, so if anyone found any solutions, please let me know!]
