I know they make more $$$ then the next 4 generations of my offspring might, and I'd do Fergie if the delusional opportunity ever presented itself, but lately seeing them in the media is just annoying....Any other haters out there?

Because in prior similar hip-hop threads....somebody always seems to go there, and then the thread flames for a few pages .

Quick solution: stop watching mainstream TV, stop hearing mainstream radio. Works for me.

But yes, they suck an awful lot, and just when you think it couldn't get any worse, they make another record and people actually buy it. Their cover of "Time of my Life" sounds like someone taking a huge fresh smelly dump on top of an old crusty turd. I just can't understand why anyone in their right mind would listen to, let alone spend money on this crap.

Any chance of an "I hate "'I hate the black eyed peas' threads" thread"? I don't have any experience with "I hate "'I hate the black eyed peas' threads" threads" (or "I hate the black eyed peas" threads, for that matter), but I'm pretty sure I'd hate the latter - not because I like the Black Eyed Peas, but more because I don't see the point of a whole thread of stating the obvious.

i hear you, but with their latest release this thread is legitimate. what a total piece of SHIT... cant believe they are serious about that, since they are musicians after all - but yea, people buy & like it. sad world.

Kind of where my inspiration manifested from. In addition to the fact that myspace, yahoo, and a few other random sites have been plastering them all over the place. For those who remember the humor but cathartic threads of "I hate Dave Matthews," and such, realize that, all in all, after a deep long breath, it is just silliness. Funny how silliness releases the body's natural opiates which can do wonders for stress reduction and overall health.

Personally, while Hip Hop had it's place in my musical journey, with the crossover rap/metal collabs of the 80's and early 90's (coming from metal as a teenager) giving me insight into the utilization of loops and samples in music production, which I had never even contemplated at that time in my life, The Black Eyed Peas are not on the list of hip hop acts (unlike public enemy, nwa, cypress hill, dre, tupac, B.I.G, and a few others....) that have been influential to me.
