just had a bug with rme drivers and L8.21

fireface 40o offers some strange samplerates inbetween the standard oomes 44,1/48 and 88,2/96...
i tried one of them (44144) k but live refused to work with this rate...

Problem..now live forces the rme ff400 into this strange 44144 rate.. and therfore cant acces the firface anymore..

logic works fine..older ableton versions work fine..

just the 8.21 installation is screwed now..

so warning.. this strange rates on rme´s fireface mac drivers are only a raver trap.. dont touch them :!:

maybe the prefference file is corrupted now?

i will check that..

note to myself... i ve to do next time a copy of my settings file...
But

could we please have a menu option to safe and load the settings?

it gets really annoying to loose the settiongs so often.. Abletion could compenstae for that risk with some settings handling comfort.
mac book 2,16 ghz 4(3)gb ram, Os 10.62, fireface 400,

Is there a reason for you to stay at 8.21 ? Never happened to me with my RME...

Just asked if there is a specific reason for sticking to that version because I happen to use the same soundcard. If I understand the word 'necroing', I thing you misunderstand my intention. Check many of my posts here or on the max forum and you'll see I rather try to help people rather than trolling...

you 'helped' someone that posted in December of 2010

8.2.1 was pretty current back then. By "necroing" he's saying you're resurrecting old threads, or being a 'thread necromancer'
I don't 'produce.' I write music.
