Ableton Forum

I have begun messing with the tap tempo and warp markers. I am trying to find the bpm and am having a problem. When I have the warping shut off and I tap to the beat the sound stutters all over the place. I would think that it would gradually change the tempo and not drastically jump with each tap. Any of you all know what I am doing wrong here? The manual does not seem to mention this or I am just missing it all together.

OK I get the dummy award. I just found out that this is normal in the arrangement view. If I drop the clip in session view then it does not stutter. Gee it seems so obvious now that I pulled the dung out of my ear.
