just got my new macbook air i wanna install my other ableton license on it can i just download the demo and then put in my serial number or how would i go about doing it thanks

download the installer from ableton.com/latest_versions and run it. When you launch it the first time you get an option to activate it over the web.

That assumes you have enough "unlocks" available. If it's the first time you've done this then it should work fine. If you have done it a few times before it will tell you you're out of unlocks and you just contact customer service and they give you another one.

most likely, you just install, activate online, and you're all set.

I would just download it. Likely what you have on the disc is an older version.

Go to www.ableton.com/latest_versions

just wanna make sure that all the stuff thats on the disc is in the download i didnt register it yet and was look at the drum machines kit part and only the 808 sounds were the from the classic drum machines all the others were missing
