recording 808

I am trying to record my 808 into live
I have it midi'd
When i record it live detects the first kick early I guess this is due to the harmonic content of the kick.
However when i warp up to the first peak to quantise the other beats the first kick loses the initial punch and the beats sound out back and forth in beat mode. Anyone had problems with this before?
