....In a midi track, I can either monitor the input or 'Auto' which seems to me to mean what is sequenced. I want to hear what is sequenced AND what I play on my keyboard. The only way I can do this is to arm the track for recording, do my stuff, then undo the recording. Why can't I just overdub without recording?
Practical example.... I'm trying to work out a nice pad sequence. I draw the root notes into a clip. Now I would like to be able to run this sequence (in sesion view obviously) and play on my keyboard various inversions to see which one is best.....ATM...can't do without recording - very frustrating.
I'm sure this has been requested before but....

In the options menu, if you uncheck the Midi overdub option, you will hear your playing in record armed mode but nothing will actually be put into the midi clip, so you dont have to ondo anything.
