He guys and girls, merry christmas!!
Anyway, a friend of mine seems to have a new drum machines livepack,
his 808 has 2 seperate signals, noise and tone
and the tuning off his toms seems to different etc etc
anyway, i'd like to have the newer one, or at least different one because of these distortion options etc
but the tuningof the kicks seems to be totally lame
so is there a way to install both packs?
and hopefully have the presets show up as 808 classic, and 808 classic old, or something like that
that would be sick
thanks!!!

I think nobody has posted because they weren't sure what you were talking about! Distortion options? Multiple signals? Sounds weird.
I took a look in my own Live Devices under Drum Rack -> Kit. I found two kits that I think match your description. First, there's "Kit-808 Classic" which seems to be a straightforward 808 kit with the drums sort of scattered around the drum rack grid, in standard GM MIDI locations. Each pad has an instance of simpler. But there's also this other preset, "Kit-808", which is not the same.
"Kit-808" has several macro knobs dedicated to a grain delay and reverb, and the snare has two chains: "High Noise" and "Tone" both of which contain Operators. In fact, I think the whole thing is made of Operators. I'd swear the toms are tuned a bit different.
Is this what you were thinking of? If I check in the browser, "Kit-808" comes from the Live 8 library, not from Drum Machines. I think it comes with Live Suite.
Hopefully this is some help to you? I don't think there are two versions of Drum Machines.
