Automating sample start in Sampler?

Hi there!

Am I correct in assuming that it's not possible to use clip envelopes to automate sample start in Sampler? This feels a bit surprising, as it's possible to do in Simpler. Am I missing something?

well, you could assign sample start to the modwheel(or velocity etc) in Sampler's modulation tab.you could then modulate that with clip envelopes.
plain midi mapping isn't possible, and has been requested a lot of times.

I'm not talking about midi automation, I'm talking about regular parameter automation (either from clip envelopes or from track envelopes in Arrange View). The reason for this is that the midi resolution is pretty bad for moving start/loop points around with some sort of precision, the same goes for assigning the mod wheel.

At the moment this isn't possible - you'll need to use the MIDI workaround, or convert from Sampler to Simpler.

Ok, that's what I thought. No big deal, I just wanted to be sure I didn't miss anything.

How come Sampler doesn´t have the automation possibility being the more advanced of them? I´m really surprised as well.

Are you planing on implementing it in the near future?
