Novation Launchpad: Midi Message Problem

Hi there, and nice 2011 to all of you!

I am struggling with a MIDI problem that I really don't know where it comes from...
My Launchpad is connected to Ableton, as you can see from the image (don't mind about Axiom 49 and BCR, cause they were disconnected when I took the screenshot).
Image
It works good in Session, Mixer and in User 1 (assignable) modes. However, when I use it in User 2 mode, for triggering Drum Recs, I can see that Ableton receives the MIDI signal but it has no effect on the instrument, even if the relative MIDI track is rec enabled.
The problem doesn't get better also if I disable track and remote for Automap MIDI ports.

Do you know a way to get rid of this bothering problem?
Thanks in advance to all of you,
Peace.

i don't know too much about this but is it not just sending note values to which none of the kit is assigned?
As in the button may be note G2 but the kick etc is on G3. can you see on the rack that notes are hit?

Might possibly be because user 1 is for playing drum racks and user 2 is for use with max4live

Check out 'Aurex' and try out some of the launchpad gizmo's created using all user modes.

http://www.aurexmusic.com/launchpad

They don't use Max4Live either so I'm assuming that with some knowledge of scripting that anything is possible.

If you want to go deeper I'd look into how they did it.
