Midi Mapping Sends

Hi,
My controller is a Line 6 Toneport KB37. It has 4 knobs which I would like to map to control certain things in Ableton. For Example...
Knob 1 - A Sends
Knob 2 - B Sends
Knob 3 - Transpose
Knob 4 - Auto Filter
So to start I entered Midi map mode, clicked Send A of Track 1, moved the first knob on the KB37, and then exited Midi Map mode. This did work but... I thought that when I selected a different Track/Clip "Knob 1" would then switch to controlling "Send A" for that track/clip. This doesn't seem to be the case. I presume this will also be the case with Transpose etc. Is there a way to get around this???
