Freeze track - 32 bit stereo only?

Hi guys.
I'm writing my music with Live but, since I have the Intro version, I like to export the single tracks and mix them in ProTools so to have more send/return and FX available.
Now, while everything is fine with recorded tracks (streo/mono 24 bit), I am a bit doubtful with the virtual instrument tracks. I mean, I am writing the drum parts, I freeze the track, soloing the single components (kick, snare, cymbals, toms...) and copy it to an audio track. When I check the file properties, all these tracks are stereo 32 bit. I have to admit they sound cool, but I can't afford working on 2 GB samples only for drums!!!
Is it possible to reduce the bit depth to 24 bit and have a mono file when needed (for example, kick and snare)?
Thank you very much.
