Hello,
first time post. Nice to meet you all.
i'm backing some things up before formatting my computer
I'm going through the tedious task of opening every project "collect all and save" and then backing them up. to make sure i've collected all the samples which are now all over the place and to be able to share some of these projects with fellow producers.
Is there a way you could do this in some kind of a batch operation for your entire folder containing these projects?
In addition: what essential parts/productkeys should I back up in addition to this folder before formatting.

Hi stvm,

If you use a Mac computer, you can use Automator to do this fairly easily:

- Find all files in a given folder
- For every file in the folder
- Open the file using live
- Collect and Save
- Close the file

... etc. I can go into more details if you need to.

thnx guys, so backing up library should cover it, maybe best to check on a second computer before the format. but what about stuff that wasn't in your libray? it then automatically copies it in there? third party solutions as the automator thing in didn't consider yet sounds interesting as well. I'm not on mac though, but i guess i should be able to find something similar.
