high/mids/lows.

i'm working with a soundclip where i am singing guitar and playing guitar.. and was wondering how to get the guitar up without changing the voice dramatically.

and i figured that has a lot to do with lows/mids/highs.

if anyone knows where theres somewhere on the internet that can explain it a decent amount, please let me know

thanks again!

The best way is to record your vocal and guitar separately, on to their own tracks, so that you can adjust levels, EQ and compression on one without affecting the other.

If you have a look on soundonsound.com for articles to do with EQ in general, and possibly multi-band compression, you'll probably get a lot of good info. It's a great website. That said, the sound of a guitar and the sound of a voice aren't the most seperate in terms of frequencies, so there's only so far you'll be able to go.

Good luck with it! :)
