Chiptune Sound?

I'm trying to find a synth that sounds like the one in Alice Practice by Crystal Castles, specifically the high/piercing chip sound (the first note, and so on):

I have:
Midibox SID Plugin
YMCK magical8bitplug

Neither can quite replicate it.

Any plugins, VSTis, etc.?

You may want to investigate Chipsounds: http://www.plogue.com/?page_id=43

Check out the new NAMM Teaser....looks like they are even going to nail effects/sound qualities related to speakers and DACs of the time that a lot of the chips were being played on/thru and quite a bit more.

Buy a cheap children's keyboard, take it apart and fuck with it.

An adventure would be to rebuild those sounds with operator if you have it.
I often experiment with it and many of those experiments sound a bit like crystal castles stuff.
I think in alice practice the Square LFO can be helpful.

I have it. I said so in the original post. It doesn't quite emulate that sound.

I'll give it a try.

In any case, thanks for the advice, everyone. :D

Actually, that is the closest I have gotten so far. Getting there. Thanks again!
