Hi,
I am having a problem rendering to disk from the Arrangement Page - i have tried following the manual but have had some problems like "the audio codec identified by the format tag 1 is required to play this file".
Could someone please post the procedure for rendering to disk -
I have tried selectng the loop first then render to disk......after this i am asked for a file to save to ....should i save to the cd file as requested???
Then when done how do i actually copy for use in a stereo???
thanks,
Tom

You're not asked for a file to save to, you're asked to give it a name, and where to put it. Save it anywhere on your hard drive, preferably somewhere where you'll find it again. For use in a stereo, Live renders as an AIF or WAV file, which you can simply burn to CD-R.
That first problem sounds like you may need to reinstall either your media player, or your OS. Nobody can tell you specifics if you don't tell them wjhat gear you're using, though - what's your OS? Is it Live giving you that error, or a different program?

HEY, I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, BUT........when i rendered to disc and tried to burn or play it, it gave me codec errors,,,,,,,,,,heres what i found to fix it,
in your preferences on rendering,,,,,,,,use the 16 bit, not 24 bit, so it renders a 16 bit wav. file, and then everything works fine,,,,,,,,,,,burn or play in winamp or winmedia, and plays great in rugular stereo cd players..!!
i keep all my preferences to 16 bit, on my m-audio 1814, and when rendering now.
im not a pro at ableton, but maybe that will help you.....
