Hi guys,I'm very deperate!!!
I have a MOTU mk3 Firewire,Ableton and i have bought a Roland tr 909.
Can't sync perfectly my 909 with Live.
I have read few times Ableton manual had try to reduce the latency of Midi timecode for the imput and the output but nothing well.
I had try to reduce midi timecode only for the input and than only for the output, but i don't fix the problem perfectly.

So i have try to put Ableton in slave mode but after (for example one minute) the 909 don't hold sync perfectly and Ableton change continuously the Main time of the track.

What can i try to do?

How can I set perfectly Live with the 909?

Can Motu volta fix my problem?

Thanks to everybody!

TR-909 doesn't read midi timecode. Sent midi clock from Live & set a negative delay until the recorded audio is in time with the metronome.

You should check your 909's OS version. Earlier versions had sync problems. There's a guy on ebay that sells v4 chips and there are instructions on his listing to check your version... search ebay--'909 timing fix'.

Also check out the DC sync options to generate midi clock( or din-sync) from audio(units) in Live.

My experience is that its better to slave Live, but that does defeat all the delay options.
