Hey everyone!

I am new to the forum and Ableton Live in general.

I wrote some songs that I want to perform live. I was wondering if there is a way to program my session so it automatically switches to different synths at various intervals throughout the song, so my keyboard automatically switches synths when I need it to.

I just want to play different synth lines or chords while the song is playing and not have to worry about switching through the patches manually. Can I make grid markers or something?

Send program change information with a clip?

I'm interested in how to do the same thing. I tried sending Program Changes via clips, but must've been doing something wrong. I need to learn more about MIDI. Can someone describe in detail how they did it? Pleeeease. : )

I'm also confused on how to do this. Can anyone save us?

I think the thread title needs editing. We're really wanting to know about sending Program Changes for live playing, not for recording.
