The thread title speaks for itself. When z3ta+'s GUI is open and I hit the CTRL key, boom, Live just quits. Process over. No dialogs, no notifications, no Windows messages, just gone.

Has anybody ever heard anything like it? What can I try? I tried it in another VST host, and it is stable there.

Anybody? This is really a bit of a problem. It's only happening on my WinXP system, btw, not on my Win7 laptop..

reported this a while ago.. arrow keys crash it as well as a few others.

sent bug reports to both ableton and cakewalk and don't think anything ever happened in the way of a fix.

I've got exactly the same problem. I'm using 8.2.1 too.
The 'shift' key does the same.
Very annoying for sure...

Meanwhile, the problem is on and off here. Some sessions it crashes, others it doesn't.

I've started experiencing similar crashes as well. Good to know what's causing it. In a few of my crashes I've certainly used the up/down keys and CTRL, that explains it.

i've submitted I think half a dozen crash reports now.

I guess when dealing with Z3TA I need to stay away from the keyboard...

Hey Ableton, any chance to get this fixed soon?

It was gone for a long while, now it's back. Some keys in z3ta+ just stone cold shut Live down as, *blip* and it's gone. It's like when they moved the island on Lost

The key-crash problem is gone since I updated to z3ta+ 2 recently. For me, it is now stable.

However, now Live sometimes crashes when I remove a track containing z3ta. Couldn't find a "system" behind this, so reproducing the error seems a bit awkward

Not sure if anybody is still experiencing this problem, but sure as hell I do.

Anyway it seems that running it through jBridge irons out whatever made it crash on keypress. So far so good.

Forget that, the crash seems displaced now at closing the GUI ffs.
