Does anybody know why the arpeggiator acts different when I have my track armed or unarmed in session view?

I guess I should say it acts differently when I'm looping "painted in" midi notes in a scene...

You mean it's different when you're playing to when it's "effecting" the recorded MIDI clip?
If so, the difference is in your playing vs. what is recorded.

No...
Say I have a midi clip that is one bar long...and I paint in some notes. I place an arpeggiator on the track and and press play.
The clip begins to play, but when I unarm the track while it is still looping, the arpeggiator changes its behavior. I can't figure out why

Ah, right, okay. I was just ruling out the other thing first and checking what you meant.
That is a bit odd...
In what way does its behaviour change?

It's hard to explain...it changes when and where the different notes are played...like something changed in the arpeggiators settings.

Yea I sometimes get this problem. It's almost like the arpeggiator is 'working' slightly behind the tempo. Difficult to describe. Doesn't really bother me as I usually get something rough recorded with it armed, then perfect it when it's not.
Don't have an explanation for why it does this, just learned to work around it.
Does it affect you badly?

doesn't really effect me badly as I work around it like you do... it's just annoying as hell
