Vanishing live set...

Has anyone had the experience of an entire Live set just vanishing from where you KNOW you had it two hours prior?
I'm using a Mac and I even went into time machine to retrieve it, but it was nowhere to be found there either. It is as if the file NEVER existed. Has anyone else had this problem? It was a REALLY good project so far, too. That's what I'm most pissed about. What could have happened? Thanks in advance...
