Hey guys,
I'm trying to make a sub bass sound that's one note to play throughout one of my tracks. Something really low and boomy. I know I definitely want to put a side chain on it(?). Four on the floor. Any ideas as to how to make this happen?
much thanks

Use operator and a sine or saw wave (whichever suites your fancy). might want a low pass filter on it (can do that right in operator) then put the compression on and side chain it.

keep in mind that a filter won't do much to a sine wave, though...

That's not true. I know that in theory, a pure sine wave should have no harmonic overtones... but in reality.. A low pass filter gets rid of unwanted high pitch sounds (especially the click that tends to come with the attack).
And I agree, sine wave is almost purely used for the sub. Thats all i use.
