I can't elaborate on the title without really going off on one, so i'm not going to.

Where's the problem? The wishlist forum is regularily scanned by us.
Many of the frequent wishes are high on our improvements list.

Ah, so you do still read it, no offence meant but imho I think you might have that list upsidedown.

I guess you are refering to the popular theory that releasing the Operator
prevents us from doing more important things (with every single user
having a different opinion what 'more important' means).

Rest assured that this is not the case. Of course we're working on a lot of
things in parallel. Today's NAMM, so we're releasing what's finished.

As you can see from its credits screen, the Operator was developed by a
small team of instrument designers. They were doing what they are
experts in - designing good sounding, usable instruments. There's no way
the same people could provide any significant help in any other field, say,
improving Live's audio engine.

As I said in my first post, many of the top feature wishes is being worked
on. Some of them are very hard and take a lot of time. Nonetheless you
may expect them in the next one or two major releases.

I apologise if i sounded a little harsh on my first post, a colleague at work had been telling me about Sony Acid 5's ability to not only timestretch EXTREMELY cleanly with it's new algorithm, but is also able to analyse groove from one audio clip and apply it to another without splitting the audio!!!! Sound familliar?
I've always wondered if this could be done (groove is everything imo) and have really been expecting Live to be the leader in the field on this sort of thing, it's why I bought it in the first place.
I guess i would rather (and this is just my opinion) Live move in this direction than become yet another softsynth studio.
Again sorry for being a drama queen, just a little miffed that it looks like I'm going to have to buy another app to do my serious timestretching in.

Yes, Would love to have that groove detector.
That is the main reason why I bought the Logic 7.

Will be watching for that major update.
