recording / bouncing down audio?

hi i've come across a bit of a problem with bouncing down my audio to save on cpu usage, i've had to switch to my netbook as i am in the middle of building a new system and as such a netbook isn't the best to use when you've got a lot of processing going on!
as i've got to make the best of the situation i'm having to adapt my workflow to suit my computer needs, which means i need to record the audio with all the fx and sends onto a new track then delete the old track and all the power hunger fx.
the problem is i when i record the output of my tracks the recorded signal never quite sounds like the original, ie track 1 is my kick drum with eq and a transients shaper on and track 2 is track 1 duplicated but with some compression on via send a to act as parallel compression, when i send both of these tracks to a new track via the i/o and record the recorded file when played back against the original is never as loud, i've tried many ways of recording i've tried resampling, exporting ect but it always ends up the same, it never sounds the same, all i want to be able to do is end up with an exact copy of what i'm hearing when i play track 1 and 2,
Am i right in saying if i send track 1 to track 3 and track 2 to track 3, if i then record track 3 that should record track 1 and 2 together with all there fx and sends into one audio file and then i can use track 3's recording as my new kick drum without all the fx and sends and lower the cpu?
