I cannot agree with this chart
http://www.digitalmusicdoctor.com/shootout/
Specially for the MIDI support, I use both Live and Logic and the difference is not too big....
The "Loops and Remix" item too, IMO, Live“s session view is the best to jamming...
Do you agree?

I never pay attention to any of that, the only thing that matters is the music that comes out of the end of it and on that front I've heard rubbish and genius come out of all of them.

It looks mighty biased to me.

It's strange in that none of them are considered even close to being value for money (on a scale of 0-5 with 0 being worst none of them score more than 1.5) . Surely that goes against the principle of comparison? There has to be a best for there to be a worst. You can't just say they're all shit/too expensive. Compared to what? A fantasy product that hasn't been invented yet? Seems like a load of bollox to me.
I'd also query the idea that PT is worse than Live (and worst overall) for mixing and mastering. On a related note; anybody know if surround is planned for Live 9?

its a load of bollox, the best DAW is the one that you know how to use the most, unless there are serious flaws/bugs/limitations then they are all similar and can all achieve professional results.

That's funny...Live got one of the lowest scores on the user interface, but the user interface is one of the main reasons I began to use live for all my audio work LOL
Just goes to show you.

I think the problem with this is whoever is judgig this is probbaly only really used to conventional workflow in a normal DAW - for that than Live's workflow actually just isnt tha great (excepting its plugin manipulation - drag+drop etc).
But wierdly they seem to score it very low on what I find are it string points and high on some bits I find realivly weak...
At least there is no disputing that the midi sux (not counting remote control in that) - think everyone agrees on that

I was thinking of to getting the Ableton 8,but, now hear the news....
beats me wrote:Native Instruments bought Ableton. They're still deciding on a snappy logo that pops and looks like hardware.
Also they're changing all the c's in the instruction manual to k's.
...I had to change on my mind because I get issue with Native Instrument Service Center on my computer.

What about session view, max for live, and innovation? Also the little things, like not having to stop to switch the order of vst's around. How about vst and au support? Wow, that was a very biased review.

that "digital music" site was so ugly I couldn't even look at the chart...
Anyone with a site that sickly and garish should not be judging GUI design, or anything digital for that matter.
