Hello

Is there a way to save midi mappings with device racks or vst plugins? it would be nice to store certain midi control setting with devices.
is it somehow possible in combination with max for live?
greetings

thx for the reply

i was aware of this possibilty. but i don't like it so much, cause you always have to select the device and then only the first eight controllers are possible to control. i use the mpk 25 and like to select what i want to control on the controller itself.i would like a solution like with the native pro 53 plugin. there the plugin saves a certain midi configuration , also reaktor plugins remember which controllers have been asigned through midi learn inside the plugin.

I believe that if you were to save a live set with only your device and desired mapping you could then drag that whole set from lives browser on to any set you are working on. it should only load the device or vst in it's own track with it's saved info intact.

If you had some time and patients you could make a folder and save your individual mapped devices there. then just drag into a set from that folder instead of from plugin devices or instruments page.

Hi,

I also saw the same hint in a couple of old threads, I wonder if it was a feature that used to work but got broke.

I really wish this worked as I have a drum rack with 50+ controls mapped to it (so 8 macro mappings won't work), I don't really want to mapped it every time I use it and would perfer not to have it saved as a part of a default set.

@Prcls, you can lock a midi controller to a device so that you don't have to select the device each time you want to control it, it stay on your midi controller.
