Hi all, I'm wondering if is possible to route a audio signal from an external source (e.g. a dj mixer) into live, process the sound and send it out effected (or augmented in some way or looped), and if is possible, there some problems / precaution I need to take?
It's possible to analyze the incoming audio and synchin' the live's tempo??
My idea is to turn live into an adavanced stompbox.
t.y. in advance.

of course.
That's why i am using live. One input track, several output tracks, with panning, effects, launch quantization, etc...

Do you use any special hw? I'm runnin on a mac book, so the audio card should not be so bad...
Do you use a template?

i use an external soundcard, but i record instruments.
For recording loops, two ways :
-audio clips
-looper
the looper can set live's tempo.
My advice : download the demo.

if you mean adjording automatically live's tempo by analyzing the incoming audio's BPM, then, no, ableton can't do this natively. Doable with m4l, but there's no magic.

Ok, there's a way just to know the tempo of the incoming track?
(I'm not new on live, but there's always something you never know before!)
