Merge two ableton projects

ive been jammin with a a mate with 2 ableton instances, now we want to make it a full project, but when we drag and drop one project into the other one to make it full it comes out wrong, not all the parts are where they should be, some things dont make a sound, etc
anyone knows the right way to do this?

I believe you have to open one of the projects in Ableton, then use the Ableton browser to navigate to one of the projects, and drag the tracks in as new tracks in your current project. I know that some things don't come over right (MIDI mappings) but I don't know all the details since I usually don't have a chance to use this feature.
