Anyone Tried The Tacklebox Stuff From Trackteam??

Hello,

I tried the demo and it seems quite ok. Just curious what users of Trackteam Stuff think? Is it worth buying it? How do you get it, via download or is it boxed and shipped out to you? Does it use the fiddly challenge response system (hopefully not), so if I did did a reformat I wouldn't need to apply for another license? Is Tacklebox and Beatbox equally good? Plus any other relevant information would be nice.

Thanks

search the forum for a thread called "tacklebox first impressions" , and be sure to search for "all terms"

I bought tacklebox and beatbox, and I think they are both great and worth every penny. Tacklebox is boxed and shipped to you (doesn't take that long).Their new one beatbox is a download. Beatbox like the name suggests is more beat oriented and is used with impluse. Tacklebox contains sounds for both simpler and impluse. Both tacklebox and beatbox each contain various loops and midi files. Plenty of positive feedback on the forum regarding Trackteam products so far. I give them both two thumbs up.

I just posted a sizeable review of Tacklebox 001 at LiveUser. It's quite a good product.

I am SLIGHTLY disappointed. The marketing speak sold it as someting extremely unique with endless possibilities...but it's not that big, really. The DopeTwistas pack for WusikStation has a lot more midi files, for instance. But overall there is an excellent selection of sounds, loops, and midi files.

As soon as I started using it in projects I found myself using TB's Simpler midi loops with the Sampler patches (and also for other instruments) and the fun of it all jumps at you. There is a lot that can be done with this thing. That's a Very Good Thing because it means no two users need to sound the same - it's as they say a toolbox, not a ready-made lunchbox.

The included tutorial is the same as with the demo, I think, and I could perhaps want some more examples of what can be done but then again it's perhaps better understood by trial and error.

For the money it's a good deal and I look forward to further stuff from TrackTeam (Slightly annoyed that I have not been informed about the BeatBox module... :) )

When Live upgraded to 4.1 they quicly sent out a notice about a POSSIBLE installation problem and included a fix. That's what I call good service.

And when my package was slow to arrive they responded immediately and offered to resend it. When it finally arrived the post stamp said it had been posted the day after the order so it was slow thanks to the postal service, not TrackTeam.
