hi all!

Latest Live and Max betas crashes loading any M4L related lesson.
I'm on winXP SP3.
Everyhing used to work fine prior the update to latest betas

it crashes as soon as i try to load any M4L device.
some serious problem here.
any clue?

now even live 8.2.1 crashes when trying to open any M4L related thing.
sent mail to Ableton support a couple of days ago but no reply.
can anyone confirm?

everything used to work fine with Live 8.2.1 and Max 5.1.7 ( latest non beta version )

but i have the feeling that if i re-install the non beta versions i'll have same problem.
have the latest live and max betas screwed my system in some way?

Max latest beta works fine if launched alone.
Ableton latest beta works fine if i don't invoke any M4L things.

tried the whole day to solve this problem.
i disabled all vst plugins and stuff. to do things cleaner as possible

conclusion : M4Live doesn't work anymore on my machine.


neither with latest non beta version.
neither with latest 4.2.2b5 and latest max 5.18.

the strange thing is that it used to work the last try i did a few weeks ago prior to install new betas.


i really need help from ableton support but no reply to my emails.

Have you tried reinstalling Max? On rare occasions it may fix things.
Reinstalling the Live beta won't make a difference. But deleting the .cfg file might make a difference.

i've reinstalled max and deleted .cfg file.
but no luck.
same error

solved!
i had to delete some old Pluggo related .dlls from system32 directory.

ableton support just rules!
