Refresh my memory -

Hi All,
OK I am a dad with kid, job, etc.
I have now found some precious time to make my music but it's been 2 years since I used LIVE (please don't shout).
I am only running Live 6 (can't afford more) and love to use Sonic Charge Microtonic as my drum synth.
Updating to Microtonic 3 has seemingly caused me trouble and seems to make Live quit unexpectedly. Has anyone else seen this?
When it does open it doesn't seem to find it even though I have the correct route to my VST plug-in files set up.
Any ideas of what could be up?
running leopard (OSX 10.5) on a Mac
