MIDI Yoke beginner

First of, i'm sry if this has been posted. Searched for a long time now and haven't found anything.

Here's the deal. I want to control ableton with my iPod touch. So I get the app for the Ipod and Data pure on my computer. So far everything is good. Data Pure recognises every move on the ipod. But now i want to connect DP to ableton. So i download MIDI Ox. I have Vista, that's why i have to use Midi Yoke.
I set Midi out on DP to Midi Yoke 1. Set Midi Yoke 1 to Midi Yoke 1 in Midi Ox. And in Ableton i pretty much just highligt everything in the Midi control tab.

Nothing. The thing is that Midi Ox doesn't seem to respond to what DP sends out, tho i don't know what i should do differently.
So someone who knows how DP or MIDI Yoke works with ableton please help me.

I did find a tutorial explaining exaclty what to do but link 404's :(

Thx

I've never done this (don't own any apple hardware) but why do you need MIDI-OX?
I thought it went
phone->PureData->MIDI-YOKEout->MIDI-YOKEin in Ableton Live

I've controlled Live using MIDI-YOKE before but I've never needed to use MIDI-OX for anything like that.

I know I'm asking a question to someone who asked a question but I'm just curious :)

Oh... well as the thread name suggested i'm a total beginner on this. I thought having Midi Yoke involved having Midi Ox running.

So what i get from your comment is: the only two programs that should be running are PD and Ableton because Midi Yoke is sort of running passively in the background. Midi ox however should not be running. Is this correct? I will try it and see if it works now. :D Thx

Well, if I try to use MIDI-OX while Live is running it doesn't work because Live is already accessing the MIDI ports so I just found it strange.
Again, I'm not sure about your situation because I've never controlled Live from a phone.

In the past I've use MIDI-YOKE to control Live with an XBOX 360 controller through GlovePIE (which can output MIDI through MIDI-YOKE) and I've also used YOKE with ToyBear Midi Control Center (MCC) V1.7 and NET2MIDI/MIDI2NET.
It's a very useful tool.

I only use MIDI-OX for analysing the output of various MIDI controllers but I know it can do more than just that.

OK so i think i get it. I kinda thought that midi Yoke and midi Ox were the same thing.

But Midi Yoke still doesn't seem to work.
I've tried with Maple VMC but that wouldn't even install and LoopBe. LoopBe kinda seems to work, because in reason i get somekind of response when pressing things in PD. Still none when pressing buttons on the Ipod tho. Which is weird because DP still responds to the IPod.

Maybe im just dumb. I just cant figure out how to map something in ableton to DP. Just assume i have Midi Yoke and explain please. It feels like i'm so close :P

OK, so your ipod sends data to the computer and PureData is picking it up just fine?
PureData is set to output that data to Out to MIDI-YOKE: 1 right?
In Live's preferences you should have Input: In From MIDI-YOKE: 1 with TRACK: ON, SYNC: OFF and REMOTE: ON
Of course I'm just guessing :)

Yes. So far i'm with you. But what next?
I feel like this step should be really easy and obvious which makes me draw the conclusion that something isn't correct with Midi Yoke.
How do you map something from DP to something in Ableton? I've tried Midi mapping and get nothing.
