It would be nice to have a setting that would automatically turn down a tracks volume as you send it to a return track. That way one can use one effect for several tracks and it would give the same sound as it that effect was directly on that track.

Um... in your return track group the effect that resides in it and have a second chain that contains just a utility plug, change the settings of the utility to phaze left and right and then set the return tracks volume at 0db...

Does exactly what you've just requested!

thanks for the work around for now, but wouldn't it be great to just make a drop down menu choice and not have to set that up each time...
