modifying new samples within drum machine/session drum racks

Hello,

I've remapping all of the stereo kit and drum machine kits to my SPD-S on the midi grid. In some cases there are not enough samples to fill the 9 pads for the SPD-S. So, I have decided to add separate individual samples from already existing session drum/drum machine kits. The issue I am having is that I cannot figure out how to map the effect rack which are pre-set to the factory samples on each particular session drum/drum machines factory kit.

So for instance with the "Kit-707 Smasher", when I add a sample from "Kit-606 Cathode" I cannot seem to be able to map the macro controls from "Kit-707 Smasher" onto the sample form "Kit-606 Cathode" in order to keep the constancy of effects sound on the new sample in relation to the whole kit. I tried using mapping mode, but I could only mad to the imported "Kit-606 Cathode" sample's singular macro controls. While it registered, the sound of that ample did not match the "kit-707 Smasher" sound. Is there ay way to achieve the trick I am looking for?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't think there's a quick fix. Drumrack sounds are a chain of operator/simpler instruments and subsequent effects. The kits also have send and return routings. There are so many variables there that it will be easier to build the kit you want one macro/drum sound at a time. Thats what I do anyway.

That makes sense. Thanks for the advice.
