Novation Zero SL MKII assigning LED buttons to solo tracks

Hi,

I'm confused. I'm trying to assign the LED MIDI buttons on my Zero SL MKII to solo my Live tracks. After working out I need to set up the buttons to toggle the same CC value for both presses (either 127 or 0) I at least have them working. Thing is, the LED's on the SL MKII won't toggle on and off accordingly. The LEDs work fine if assigned to turn on/off devices for instance (but I understand that's probably because the devices respond to different midi commands. Or something...)

What's weird is that the LED buttons on my old Photon X25 DO toggle on and off when assigned to solo tracks. Does this mean that the Photon switches the LEDs on/off on every button press as a hardware feature, but the SL MKII is waiting for communication from Live, which it's clearly not getting with regard to the solo assignments?
