Numark DJ|IO

Hi guys,
I bought the above sound card yesterday. Im running the latest version of 0SX 10.6.7 on a Macbook pro i7.
I've downloaded the latest driver from the Numark website, installed it. The Macbook wont even recognise the sound card when I plug in the USB. I done a fair bit of googling and others have had troubles since updating their OS. Wondered if anyone knows of a remedy?
