great time for m4l today
special offer and new stuff.

there are new built in lessons for m4l as well

one of them doesn't work though
when I click on it I got an error message telling the link is dead
" lesson:/8-MaxForLive Category/19-API Navigators"

anyone else ?

I'm not able to reproduce this error.

Can you tell me which lesson, specifically, has the link that's giving you the error?

Have you guys installed the final, release versions, or are you working with one of the betas (of either Live or Max?)

As I wrote it is " lesson:/8-MaxForLive Category/19-API Navigators"
I use final versions of Live and Max

I had a look into live Appl-Ressources/Builtin Lessons/8-MaxforLive Category
nothing there, I guess it is normal as others lessons are not there neither

then I checked into live's Library/lessons/8-MaxforLive Category/19-API Navigation Tools Lessons
18 elements there; 1,4mo, seems ok

my Mac OS is 10.6.7 French, I don't know if the language is important.

others M4L new Lessons works fine.

I hope you will find the fix

Ah, indeed, the French translations arrived too late to make it into this release. Sorry for this. They will be included in any future update.

If you temporarily switch Live's language to English, do the links work?

Also, did you previously have a beta version installed? The lesson names (and links to them) changed a few times during development, and it's possible you have a "leftover" link.

switching to US doesn't help

yes I installed a few betas before the release

could you tell me which folder/files I should delete to trigger a fresh install without loosing my library ?

You should be fine if you delete: Library/lessons/8-MaxforLive Category/19-API Navigation Tools Lessons

I actually found this folder in my Library as well, and it appears to be a leftover from a previous beta.

Once you've deleted it, you shouldn't see a link to it anymore in the Help View.

So this Lesson is not really missing, it was just removed before Release.

ok excellent, that is exactly what happened to me - too many damn betas being eaten up by me lately as new objects started sprouting new outlets week to week and i got overexcited.

I was able to load the lessons, but for the new API tutorials, all I get are the first page of each. It shows four pages, but pages 2-4 are something completely different. Is there a quick fix? Should I just delete these and reinstall from a specific link?
