Feedback when I try to record

Hi,

I am new to all of this and have been trying to record my guitar using Abelton Lite Live version 8.2.2 and Zoom ZFX Tools. When I click on the first button to arm the recording, I get a ton of feedback. I am not sure if that is enough info to go on, but does anyone know how I can stop the feedback so that I can record using the ZFX tools and my guitar?

Thanks

Yeah, I felt dumb after posting that, but was pretty sure I couldn't delete it so I left it there.. I probably can't help you.

I don't really know how your device is set up, or what kinds of configuration options it gives.

Try turning Monitoring off for the track the input comes in.
It defaults to "Auto", which turns Monitor on when the track is armed.

I don't know Zoom ZFX Tools, but from the short description it sounds as if the audio comes in through there.
When I record some audio from a movie that is playing in a media player, there is the feedback as well.
Turning the monitor off sorts that.

Obviously then Live will not let you hear the guitar you're playing, but I expect you'd be hearing through the Zoom tools.

I had a similar problem which was solved by disabling 'HD audio rear input' in the ASIO control panel.
