Very very briefly, chord voicing is both the choice of inversion (which note of the chord is the bass) and the distribution of the inner voices. Usually the top note of each chord defines a melody, whether or not that's what the composer intended

However, there are a lot of possibilities for what the inner voices are doing, and you can use those possibilities to create musical interest.
One important part of chord voicing is how the inner voices move from one chord to the next. Do they move in the same or opposite directions? Are they bunched together or spread apart? Do they repeat notes or jump around? These decisions can have a profound effect on the overall sound of a piece of music.

From what I can remember from my Music Theory classes, they're related, but not the same.
Typically, a triad is the 1st, 3rd, and 5th notes in a scale. Sometimes it's hard to jump around from triad to triad. The solution is to raise or lower certain note's octaves. This minimizes the range of motion for the player (making it easier). This is essentially
Chord inversion.
Inverting the chord affects the Voicing, which is basically how a chord can have the same notes, but sound different from the octaves of it's notes.
Let me know if that doesn't make sense.

All caps is considered yelling....
Chord voicing simply refers to three or more tones you choose to build a chord with. The distance between those tones would determine the type of voicing you have chosen: Major, Minor, Diminished, Augmented, Etc...

In the spirit of helping: you might not know that in 'Internet speak', typing in all caps in the equivalent of screaming in real life. Adding bold to your all caps just makes things even 'louder' if you can visualize that?
lol post above and I were in perfect sync!
