ok so heres my problem, the same problem ive been having for months. my mpd32 worked perfectly for id say about 5-6 months and then one day it just stopped working. now all the midi port options are a redish orange color and my mpd32 is useless. works fine on other computers. ive tried many things such as re-installing the program, sending my pc in for repairs, re-installing the device software, etc. im running windows 7 (64 bit). ive read in other threads that people are having the same problem but no one has come up with a solution. they are older threads spo maybe someone out there has solved this problem? maybe?

any sort of help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance! :)

oh yes i forgot to mention that these problems starting occurring after i had installed asio4all. when i had asio installed i could hear no sound at all but when i disabled it the sound worked. could asio have done something to my system or the program itself?

Hey there, I am having similar problems I think ... I have just installed Live 8 on a new Dell Laptop with Windows 7, it was working fine then I installed my usb audio interface (Novation Nio 2/4) and tried to switch live over to ASIO ... no dice the whole program pretty much freezes and no sound ... I have installed the latest driver from Novation and that doesn't work, I have reinstalled live and that doesnt work ... I can get sound running through the interface by selecting 'MME/DirectX' driver and then choosing novation as the outpot 'line out' but even that is pretty glitchy ...

Everything was running sweet on my old desktop which ran Vista???

If anyone has any suggestions then let me know!!

In the MIDI sync tab try toggling the MIDI Port input 'Port Type' switch on your USB port. It worked for me! Good luck :)
