It would be very handy to have the possibility to give different colors to various objects in the browser

nice idea this!
EDIT: would be perfect for huge sample libarys ideally for labelling cetain samples, eg green for favourite samples or red for the pants ones (which shouldnt be in there anyway!)

is it too much to ask for ability to implement pattern jpegs as backgrounds and new color schemes too?
cosmetic (color/pattern) upgrades can be very inspiring for work environment
