I had a search of the forum and have bashed the manual but i am drawing a blank.
Say i have a clip with a simple midi riff (1/4 bar ) what i would like to do is be able to trigger the riff from the keyboard transposing it as i play differing keys.
Is there a way to do this in Ableton ?

Just gave this a try but i'm not able to map a range of keys.
i click the Midi map function top right of screen and select the clip i want to meddle with then i hit C3-C4 on my keyboard only for bugger all to happen.
What am i missing?

Hmmm, i can get it to transpose up but cant seem to get it to transpose down. I'd like to be able to trigger the riff to transpose over 2 octaves. IE an octave either side of the original playing point. The problem i'm getting is the midi map function seems a little temperamental. In that it only seems to accept ranges of keys outside of the original riff zone. I tried placing the keyboard ona different midi channel but that doesn't seem to solve the problem
Confuzzled
