one string bass, midi implementation too. hopefully i can get my head round it and work out how to use it in ableton. i feel a live 8 upgrade coming on

heh heh, yeh more than i thought : tea chest bass, diddley bow, monochord, riti, gonje, bucket bass, duxianqin, gopichand, umuduri....to name a few. probably plenty more i reckon. and there's one more now
various countries, cultures, musical styles.....

well i might have got the name wrong or something but there's stuff on youtube about it - i was looking at something called a dan bau from vietnam and that got mentioned
i need to get a 13 pin midi cable now, to see if i can get it to work in ableton. i just been twanging it like a normal bass and ive hurt my finger. sounds mint, cheers everyone

thats pretty sweet, but my biggest issue with it is how would you finish the song if your broke your string

is it out of line for me to ask how much something like that costs to have built?
oh and what pitch do you have the string tuned to? i'm guessing E
