I use Live as my primary DAW but I also have been using it as a live looping rig.

I'm kind of stumped on how to transpose multiple newly recorded audio clips via MIDI. I would like to press a button on my MIDI foot pdl and transpose a specified scene or other set of clips.

I have learned how to transpose clips individually with the clip's TRANSPOSE knob. I've also figured a way of achieving the same thing via a MIDI clip playing a cc via the IAC bus to an audio clip. The problem lies in the apparent fact that to transpose a clip, you must make the clip 'viewable' by clicking on it.

I am not ruling-out user error on my part...

Am I missing something?

Workaround #1 (Mac).

I used MIDIStroke to convert MIDI commands into qwerty keystrokes.

Make certain the IAC Bus is enabled in Audio MIDI Setup.

Record a MIDI clip wherein notes trigger the clip's Slot selection (up/down, left/right). The keystrokes are delivered via MIDI and converted by MIDIStroke. Then MIDI map pitch bend to control Clip Transpose. This clip channel's MIDI out should go to the IAC bus (in order to be used as a virtual external MID controller).

Now when this clip plays, Automatic clip selection and transpose commands (via pitch bend) are delivered (One-at-a-time yet very quickly) to as many clips as you want.

The mildly odd part is in the fact that clips are being selected and changed without being triggered.
