MIDI input missing(image included)

I have same probem as the starter of this thread: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=157445

All the input boxes on "midi sync" tab are grey and reinstalling Live wont help. My keyboard is Emu Xboard 61. Also, in the midi sync tab i only have an option to change output, nothing at all where the input was before. The input boxes used to be active.

Did you plug in, and turn on, the controller before starting up Ableton Live?
