Recomendations on Analog synth + midi controller.

Are there any hard synths that can also be used as midi controllers? I'm looking for a 48 key controller but instead of just getting a controller it seems far more beneficial to get into the world of analog at the same time. would something like the Prophet 08 PE be ideal?

The Prophet is very nice, but everything comes down to how much are you willing to spend?

Moog Voyager makes a nice controller too. It has a good but small keyboard (which also has aftertouch) and all the knobs send out midi data. Well built if a little heavy to carry around.
