thats what its about i think, once you understand it, it makes alot of sense. i guess its like you say, putting your brain in a certain mode.braj wrote:Tonight I just instantly 'got' Logic. I dunno what it was, but LE7 now makes perfect sense to me. It's like you have to put your brain in a certain mode. Strange... Of course I could have read the manual, but that would be work.
Has anyone made interesting uses of Live with Logic (esp 7?)

Logic is Great!
Live is Great!
Logic for Hardcore Production!
Live for Hardcore Performance!
I don't think it's a case of which is better, they're two different tools.
Study Logic, it won't let you down once you get it going.
It's a steep learning curve and all but it's well worth it.
I'm using Logic 4.5 on the PC and it's that good I still haven't found anything I'm willing to replace it with.
even though it's finished on the PC.
Learn it!!

I got it to work!
I made my first note today in Logic! Wooh-hoo (in a Homer Simpson voice!)
I have no idea why it doesn't identify the microkontrol by name, but
once I rebooted without the usb connected it told me an audio device
was no longer attached. With this information I tried arming the track
but I still had no sound, so I read the manual. Went between several
index leaps, and found the mysterious "hold down" mouse button for
available instruments. I feel like I just opened up the first layer of
a Hellraiser cube- one small step for man, one giant leap for my kind!
mcconaghy- Thanks for the suggestion anout the yahoo group, between them, and a couple suggestions Zakari Luk and Braj tossed out I got everything to work with my midi.
Zakari Luk- I don't completely follow everything you pposted about yet, but I have a feeling by the end of the night it will have given me the search topics from the manual I need to get my tascam pumping.
Thank you very much for your help. I am excited about all of these new instruments, but as polished as they are, I am still more Gung-HO about how I am going to rewire Operator with Logic.
